If these were a darker color, a shag, or a level loop with much more pile, I probably wouldn't see a single seam.The books say that you should never use 'carpet tape', but rather should use only fit-for-purpose turning tape. I used a level loop, light colored, cushion backed tile. (This could just be an impression I have and not reality.) I wonder if the tape is "pulling" the tiles back to where they were originally set. So, you have to do a little finagling to get them to where you want them. It's impossible to lay the tiles down without them getting a little stuck.
